The School
The School of Sensual Massage is the educational and training platform of Intimacy Matters, created to help individuals and couples develop greater confidence, creativity and sensitivity through touch.
Led by Colin Richards, the School offers immersive, practical courses in giving sensual massage for men, women, and couples, as well as advanced training for those wishing to work professionally. Each course combines hands-on learning with a deeper understanding of sexual psychology, human physiology, attraction, arousal, communication and emotional intimacy.
Training is delivered in a relaxed, respectful and non-judgemental environment, where students can learn at a comfortable pace and develop skills that can be used within their relationships, dating lives or professional practice.
The School brings together a cooperative of experienced therapists, trainers, demonstration partners and personal-development specialists. Its approach is practical, inclusive and grounded in real experience, helping students understand not only what to do, but how to create trust, anticipation, connection and a more fulfilling sensual experience.
The Courses
Founded by Colin Richards — Sex & Intimacy Engineer, Somatic Sensual Masseur, psychosexual practitioner, educator and founder of Intimacy Matters — the School of Sensual Massage is built upon more than twenty years of full-time professional practice and experience working with over 10,000 clients from a wide variety of backgrounds, ages, relationship styles, sexual orientations, and life circumstances.
What makes Colin’s teaching unique is not simply his technical knowledge of sensual massage, but the breadth of life experience that informs it. His professional training includes a Diploma from the Association of Natural Medicine Therapeutic Massage (1995), Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy from Regents College (2008), a Certificated Imago Relationship Educator with the Imago Institute (2010), and experience in NLP, Hypnotherapy, and Co-active Life Coaching.
