Initial Enquiry

Your enquiry can be made via email, phone call, text, Whatsapp. Please give me some details about what you want to bring to me that is either troubling you or you want further help with. If, at this stage, I feel I can help, I will email you the Psychosensual Pre-Consultation Form. This will ask you a series of questions to help me understand you, your current situation and your background.

The Process

All appointments start with a 90-minute consultation. Then, if both the client and I feel that a 90-minute sensual bodywork appointment would benefit, this can happen within this appointment or arranged at another date (usually within a fortnight). Most sexual performance issues or dissatisfaction with sexual fulfilment are often partially or wholly rooted in the psychology of the person. These emotional drivers then affect the physical responses required to bring on arousal and sexual satisfaction, the most common being the inability to orgasm in women and loss of erection in men. This 90-minute consultation session allows me to hear your story, understand your situation and explain more fully how I feel I may be able to help you. It also gives you the chance to meet me and ask any questions that you need answering before deciding to go ahead with any sensual bodywork. If you feel comfortable with what I propose, then we discuss the best way forward regarding any sensual bodywork.

Session 1: The Initial Consultation – 90 minutes

Both sessions 1 & 2 can be taken on the same day, one after the other, or split within the day, but there is always a minimum 15-minute break between sessions 1 and 2 to allow you time to consider if you want to take the bodywork.

Most sexual performance or sexual dissatisfaction issues are often partially or wholly rooted in the psychology of the person. These emotional drivers then affect the physical responses required to bring on arousal and sexual fulfilment – the most common being the inability to orgasm in women and loss of erection in men. This 60-minute session allows me to hear your story, understand your situation and explain more fully how I feel I may be able to help you. It also gives you the chance to meet me and ask any questions that you may have before deciding to go ahead with any sensual bodywork. If you feel comfortable with what I propose, then we discuss the best way forward and then set a date (I recommend within a fortnight) for the sensual bodywork.

Session 2: The Sensual Bodywork – 90 minutes

This is a 90-minute appointment that includes a  60-minute Enhance or Explore. Massage, depending on what aspect is being worked on about your situation in the initial consultation, I will put together a sensual treatment that I feel will help you explore your sexuality safely and professionally. Knowing that I am fully aware of your challenge will, in itself, help you relax. The Standard massage gently introduces you to the sensual bodywork. The massage is based on a traditional therapeutic technique but the intention is to promote slow gentle arousal, I take a step-by-step approach that allows you to feel in control and at the same time free to explore intimacy and become aware of any emotional restrictions you may be feeling. Being in this non-judgemental, caring and supportive environment, means that any reactions – whether negative or pleasurable – can be expressed and thus better understood. The massage remains as the surface of body arousal only and may include penis stimulation to bring on erection to optional orgasm but does not include any anal penetration or oral.  Following the treatment, there is a brief discussion to check in and see how you are feeling and what you may have discovered during the treatment.

On-going treatment for men

You can reign for further three-hour Psychosensual treatments, and if you are comfortable and we have discussed the relevance, you can move on to receive either the Enhance or Explore Massage. Some clients find that the conversation in the first appointment has given them a complete understanding and now prefer to return for just another treatment.

The Psychosensual Treatment can help with:

  • erectile dysfunction
  • premature ejaculation
  • inability to orgasm
  • understanding and embracing same-sex attraction
  • fear of intimacy
  • lack of sexual confidence
  • poor sexual expertise
  • improving sexual performance

The Theory of Five Influences

Why Do Some Men Like Men

By Colin Richards

Gay Partnerships

Introduction

For the last two centuries, if a man experienced any form of male-to-male erotic intimacy, society traditionally labelled him no longer heterosexual; he became a homosexual and, in the UK until 1967, was a criminal. In the last 60 years, attitudes to sexuality have become more enlightened. Still, even in 2023, in many social circles, if a man announces himself as bisexual, bicurious, or even heteroflexible, many people see this as just a subtle camouflage that he is gay.

Over the past two decades, the polarised view of sexuality has been challenged. Now, many experts recognize that defining a person’s sexuality in such a binary manner is wrong. Still, the often mooted explanation of why a man may be sexually attracted to another man is that it is either a personal choice or is genetically pre-determined or a combination of both.

In a recent study taken in 2019 it was concluded that sexuality cannot be pinned down by biology, psychology or life experiences, this study and others show, because all these factors decide human sexual attraction. The study shows that genes play a small and limited role in determining sexuality. Genetic heritability — all of the information stored in our genes and passed between generations — can only explain 8 to 25 per cent of why people have same-sex relations, based on the study’s results.

However, as comprehensive as the study was, it had flaws in that it did not consider the impact of historical and social context on the data sets and parameters.

Informed by his 18 years of experience working with thousands of men who have expressed broader sexuality, Colin Richards, Sex Engineer and Relationship Therapist, has concluded that same-gender attraction has as much to do with the emotional, psychological and anthropological as it does genetic and sexual. To read on click here
